How can I tour The Legacy? 

In order to tour our venue, you must have an appointment. You can call 816-204-1629 or email events@thelegacyatgreenhills.com to schedule a time to visit. Tours are given all days of the week, depending on availability. 


Can we use our own vendors? 

Yes, we provide you a list of vendors we recommend but you choose who you want to work with. We do require that your caterer and bartending company be licensed and insured. 


Is there a minimum guest requirement? 

No, there is no minimum guest requirement. The standard wedding and reception package includes up to 200 guests. 


Do we have to hire security for our event? 

No, it is not necessary to hire security.  


In the event of inclement weather is there a backup for outdoor wedding ceremonies?

Yes, the pavilion may be used as a backup. You can either set up a separate ceremony area in the pavilion or we can set up the ceremony on the dance floor and flip the room after the ceremony. 


Is it an option to do reception only? 

Yes, our basic reception package does not include a ceremony. 


How do I reserve The Legacy for my event? 

In order to reserve your date we require a signed contract and a $500 deposit. 


When can we arrive for our event? 

For event preparation purposes you may arrive at 1pm on the date of your event, unless you have a Premier Package or the Bride's Favorite Package. If you have reserved an overnight stay for the night before you may arrive at 6pm on that night and stay through the conclusion of your event. You also have the option to rent additional hours.


What days can I do an overnight stay? 

For a Friday wedding you can reserve Thursday and/or Friday night for an overnight stay. For a Saturday wedding you can reserve a Friday and/or Saturday for an overnight stay. For a Sunday wedding you can reserve Sunday night for an overnight stay. 


When can we rehearse for our ceremony? 

There are several different options for rehearsal. You may do your rehearsal when you arrive at 1pm on the day of your wedding. If you have reserved the night before for an overnight stay you may perform your rehearsal at that time. If neither of these options work for you, you can schedule your rehearsal Monday-Thursday. 


​Do you have dressing facilities and if so, when are they available for our use? 

The house on the property has 3 bedrooms upstairs for your bridal party to use. There is also a private Bridal Suite and a Dressing Room. Downstairs, there is a Groom's Room. These spaces are available for your use beginning at 1pm on the day of your wedding, unless you have the Premier Package or the Bride's Favorite Package. 


Can I purchase extra time on the day of my wedding? 

Yes, overnight stays are the most economical way to rent extra hours. A Friday overnight stay is $700 and it allows you to arrive at 6pm on Friday, rather than the standard arrival time of 1pm on Saturday. If you don't want to do an overnight stay you can rent extra hours at $100/hour. 


Does The Legacy have on-site parking? 

Yes, we have on-site parking for your guests. 


Will a representative from The Legacy be on-site during our event? 

​Yes. At least one Legacy representative will be on-site at all times during your event. The Legacy representative will greet vendors, remove trash, direct parking and manage facility needs.  


Do you provide linens? 

Our standard packages do not include linens for the round tables. We do rent linens for $8/each. We have black and white linens.
